OK. I'm sold on Windows 7 already. In fact, it can't come too soon. My non-Vista ready XP applications are screaming for this kind of feature.

Yeah, that is a wonderful feature. I am actually heading to Redmond, WA for some Microsoft training in a 2 days...and I can't wait to learn the ins-and-outs of Windows 7. I currently run W7 RC as a second boot option and play with it from time-to-time, which is cool.

It's worth pointing out, I suppose, that people needing XP compatibility can achieve the same level of XP support with a VM on Linux (using one of the free virtualisation tools like Virtual Box, Virt-manager, or even VMware's free version) as the can on Windows7... The main advantage being that they won't continue being beholden to Microsoft's technical and business decisions, like end-of-lifeing products on which entire organisations are standardised, as has happened to all of our Windows-using customers over the past few years, resulting either in annoying incompatibilities (e.g. MS Office formats), paying a premium to purchase older versions of software, all trying to "coax" our customers to do expensive wholesale upgrades.

Running XP virtually on Linux has huge advantages - being able to checkpoint a "clean" instance of Windows XP for future recover (e.g. clean registry, no spyware, no viruses), security isolation, and the ability for the user to use a constellation of open source apps at the same time and copy-paste between Linux and Windows.
