The Windows team have announced that Windows 7 will include a “Windows XP Mode” designed to help those businesses with legacy application requirements to more easily move to Windows 7. This is great news for for the obvious application compatibility reasons but it also helps businesses who might be concerned about mainstream support ending for Windows XP. They did a great job of keeping this under wraps – the first I heard about it was when Paul Thurrott and Rafael Rivera blogged about it late last week.
